You might think we’re bluffing, but Heiligenblut is home to the highest mountains in Austria; this alone sets it apart from other beautiful Austrian villages! The most popular activity in Heiligenblut is driving along the scenic Grossglockner High Alpine Road, and it’s one that’s definitely worth every minute. The Hiegenblut Church, known for its glamorous Gothic architecture, pulls tourists from all over Austria, so don’t forget to visit. The trails and slopes of Hohe Tauern National Park are a fun visit for every thrill seeker.
7. Melk
