Day-by-Day Itinerary

Please note that the below sample itinerary is not representative of your final itinerary (unless you choose not to personalize it further). The purpose of this itinerary is to provide you with a general idea of what your day might look like. Your actual day-by-day itinerary will be fully customized to suit your trip schedule and specific needs.

Day 1

Your adventure starts here! Fly to Calgary today and, upon arrival, make your way through customs and immigration. Head to the car rental booth to pick up your rental car, then head to your hotel for check-in.

After that, the day is yours to explore at leisure. Head to Lake Louise to take in the stunning turquoise blue waters the lake is so famous for – the first glimpse will take your breath away. Stroll along the sidewalk that runs along the water, or take the Lake Anges trail to Devil’s Thumb for quieter, equally beautiful, views from above.

Day 2

For a really unique experience, get up super early today and head to Moraine Lake for sunrise. You’ll get to see the sky change to shades of gold, orange and yellow reflected above turquoise blue waters. Then head on to Yoho National Park to see Emerald Lake, perhaps hiring a canoe to see the waters from a different perspective.

Stop in Field, a charming and welcoming town, then head through Golden, a characterful town with plentiful restaurants and a few stores.

Day 3

Wake up early and begin your drive to Jasper. Stop at Peyto Lake, embarking on the 3.8-mile round trip hike of Bow Summit, if you feel like doing so. There are incredible lookouts over Peyto Lake along the way.

Then enjoy a half-day tour of Maligne Valley from Jasper. On this guided excursion, you’ll take in the region’s most scenic lakes and majestic canyons. See Medicine Lake, Maligne Canyon and Maligne Lake on your trip. Plus, your guide will teach you about the unique natural history of the Canadian Rockies. Enjoy short walks through beautiful scenery and choose between a boat ride or a guided hike at Maligne Lake.

Day 4

Hit the road again today and head for Banff. Spend your morning exploring Johnston Canyon, an easy hike that runs through a canyon surrounded by woods. You’ll see waterfalls, pools and lush forest.

Afterward, head on to the town of Banff. Banff is a quintessential mountain town and one of Canada’s most beautiful. As you walk down the streets, you’re surrounded by amazing scenery of snowcapped mountains. There’s a really quaint, charming feeling to the town and you’re sure to love the fudge shops, restaurants and souvenir stores here.

Day 5

Today, we’ve included admission to Banff Gondola to maximize your views of Banff National Park. Ride to the top of Sulphur Mountain, taking in views of six different mountain ranges from the panoramic windows of your gondola cabin.

At the top, stroll along the boardwalk to the Cosmic Ray Station and Sanson’s Peak, and learn more at the mountaintop Discovery Center. Enjoy an elegant meal at the Sky Bistro, then head back down to the town. Spend your final evening at a cozy restaurant beside a fireplace – Banff has plenty of them!

Day 6

Sadly, your trip has come to an end. Head to the airport to return your vehicle and make the journey home.

Should you wish to add extra days to existing cities/destinations or add new destinations to your pre-designed package, you will be able to do so during the submission process. Your final package cost will also change depending on how many additional travel components are needed for the extra days.
